Huntsman Page

Huntsman Spiders are nocturnal roaming hunters are are often found tucked away under bark, rocks or in narrow dark places during the day. This group are all females and have been caught out as their cover was moved.

 

The top one was flat between two bits of corrugated roofing iron. The speckles on her body made me wonder if she was a different species

The female to the left has quite a stocky body. She was discovered between a roller-door on a garage and the wall-mounts.

 

The lower spider lived in the belly of a bromeliad for the entire summer of the big drought. There was a frog living there last time I looked
